2019 “Little Quilt” Display

I would like to challenge or maybe a better word is encourage guild members to make a small quilt that has a "house" block or blocks in the quilt. When I say house block it doesn't have to be a house necessarily. It could be a church, school, birdhouse, barn or even a quilt shop. Any structure will do. This is purely for fun. They will not be judged so the pressure is off. I would love to hang these somewhere at the Warehouse during the quilt show. As you know the space is limited so there is a maximum size allowed (see below). I'm trying to have as few rules as possible because I want every member to let loose and make whatever they desire.
You may use any fabric and color you wish (bright, civil war, 30's, patriotic). It can be pieced or appliqued, traditional or modern. This is also an opportunity to go wild with embellishments. The possibilities are endless! You could make this project something you would love to hang in your house or maybe since Christmas will be right around the corner you could gift it to someone special.
I hope you will participate in the exhibit and it will be something you enjoy! You may decide to do it as a group project. Each member putting their own special "touch" on the quilt.

Maximum size:
When you add all your sides, top and bottom together the quilt should not exceed 64".
For example:
If your quilt is 10" X 14" the sides add up to 48" (10 + 10 + 14 + 14 = 48") If your quilt is 16"X16"the sides add up to 64”(16+16+16+16=64")

Thank you,
Quilt Show Chairman
